Our Services

  • Structural Investigations

    Structural Investigations

Our team carries out intrusive structural investigations to expose hidden elements such as foundations, reinforcement, steelwork, and masonry. We safely open up floors, walls, and structural components to allow engineers to verify construction details, assess condition, and identify defects.

Using methods such as diamond coring, concrete breakout, and careful hand-exposure, we provide clear access to critical structural features so design teams can inspect, record, and make informed engineering decisions.

  • Trial Pitting

    Trial Pitting

Trial pitting is a key method for assessing ground conditions, foundations, buried services, and soil profiles. Our team safely excavates trial pits to the required depth using hand-digging, mechanical excavators, or vacuum excavation (Vac-Ex), depending on site constraints and safety requirements.

We expose the necessary features for engineers to inspect and record, including foundations, utilities, ground layers, and material changes. This provides clients with reliable, on-site visibility of subsurface conditions for design, feasibility studies, and structural assessment.

    Diamond Coring

Our team delivers precise and efficient diamond coring for concrete, brickwork, and structural elements. Using high-quality diamond-tipped core bits, we provide clean, accurate core holes in a wide range of diameters and depths to suit project requirements.

We carry out standard coring, deep coring, and stitch coring for larger openings or where structural sections need to be removed carefully. With extensive experience in challenging environments, we ensure controlled, dust-managed, and non-percussive drilling—ideal for intrusive surveys, structural investigations, material sampling, and service penetrations.

    Safe Digging

We provide safe digging and controlled service excavation for projects involving buried utilities, trenches, and confined spaces. Our team selects the appropriate excavation method for each site and ensures controlled exposure of underground features without risk to personnel or surrounding structures.

Where required, we install shoring systems, trench supports, and temporary works in line with approved Temporary Works Designs (TWD) to maintain ground stability and ensure compliance with safety regulations. This service is ideal for service investigations, trenching, structural opening-up, and any excavation that demands strict safety and professional oversight.

  • Dynamic Sampling

    Dynamic Sampling

Dynamic (window) sampling is an efficient method for collecting soil samples and ground data on sites with limited access. Our versatile rig can operate on electric power or via generator, and can be broken down into smaller components, allowing us to work in narrow, confined, or otherwise restricted spaces where standard machinery cannot reach.

We obtain disturbed and undisturbed soil samples as required, and provide clear, accurate window sample logs for engineering and geotechnical assessment. This service is ideal for contamination testing, soil profiling, and general ground investigation on residential, commercial, and urban sites.

    BRE365/ Soakaway

BRE365 soakaway infiltration tests are carried out to determine how quickly water drains into the soil for SuDS and drainage design. We provide full testing, monitoring, and detailed BRE365-compliant reports for engineers and developers.

    Dynamic Probe Test (DPSH)

DPSH (Dynamic Probing Super Heavy) is used to assess soil strength and bearing capacity by driving a cone into the ground using controlled hammer blows. Our probing rig can operate on electric power or via generator and can be broken down for access into confined or restricted areas.

Dynamic probing is commonly carried out alongside window sampling, providing strength data at deeper levels once sampling becomes difficult or impractical. The results offer reliable penetration resistance values that support foundation design, ground profiling, and geotechnical assessments.
